In honor of our founder and his passion to help deserving individuals build a brighter future, the Albert M. Serra Scholarship encourages and financially assists the children of eligible employees of all automobile dealerships associated with Serra Automotive in their pursuit of higher education.

The Albert M. Serra Scholarship Program provides the opportunity for an annual $1,000 scholarship for post-secondary education to the qualifying children of eligible employees of the Serra Automotive organization. The scholarship covers books, tuition, and/or room and board. If you have more than one qualifying child, each child would qualify for a $1,000 scholarship.
Your children are eligible if:
You have two or more years of continuous full-time employment (35 hours a week minimum) at any Serra Automotive dealership or related company as of June 30 of the current year.
Your children are under 25 years old (as of June 30) and are attending or will be enrolled in a qualifying institution* with a minimum of 12 credit hours within six months of June 30.
There are no grade-point average requirements for a student attending a post-secondary education institution for the first time. After attending or for current post-secondary education students, the student must maintain a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average to qualify for the scholarship.
If all the eligibility requirements are met each year, each child can qualify for a maximum of five years (for a total of $5,000).
*A qualifying institution would be any accredited two or four-year college, university, or trade school. Institutions providing less than two years of accredited programs are not eligible. Barber or cosmetology schools are examples of educational institutions that would not qualify for the scholarship program.

Applications will be available at your dealership by May 1 of each year.
To qualify for the current year, you must meet the eligibility requirements, have a qualifying child, and submit all application and verification documents to your dealership's comptroller/office manager by June 30.
Each applicant will be notified in writing when the application is accepted and whether all requirements were met. The scholarship will be sent directly to the institution in the name of your student for the first semester following June 30.
